With their long front ends, short chainstays, low bottom brackets and slack head angles, Whyte’s 900 series bikes are faster, more confident and more fun than any hardtail has a right to be. The testers agree, with MBR magazine awarding the 905 a perfect 10, and What Mountain Bike summing it up by saying: “Whichever option you pick from Whyte’s new 650b Trail Hardtail range, you’re onto a winner.”

“An absolute ripper that will put a massive smile on your face every time you ride it… 10/10″ MBR magazine part 1, part 2

“Every ride on the 901’s a buzz.” MBR magazine Whyte 901 revisited

The 2017 frame has a bolt-thru rear axle and designed for a 1x drivetrain only. Your mechanic will appreciate that it uses a threaded BSA bottom bracket. Like the previous model it is based around 40mm and 50mm stems (depending on frame size) and has the same trail-killing geometry of the more expensive models.
