Xelius EFi 200
The Xelius EFi 200 is your opponent’s worst enemy. Combining race proven geometry and design with performance-level components, this is a human-powered rocket ship that will give the peloton something to chase after.
The Xelius frame is constructed using Lapierre Efficient Frame Interactive (EFi) technology that was developed to optimize rider input and feel of the bike. The frame is built using single lay-up, monocoque construction that utilizes two different grades of carbon at specific zones to balance power and comfort. The head tube, down tube, and chain-stay represent the “power-zone” of the bike so we built these with single strands of high modulus carbon. The high modulus carbon offers a stiff pedaling platform that maximizes the power transmission from the cranks to the rear wheel creating an extremely efficient bike. Conversely, the Comfort Zone – top tube, seat tube and seat stay – are built with high resistance carbon that act to dampen upward forces on the frame such as potholes to create a smoother and more enjoyable ride. New carbons have been introduced for 2014 in the Xelius EFi frame that has dropped 80 grams, resulting in an overall 890-gram frame.
The Xelius EFi 200 is equipped with Shimano’s new 11-speed Ultegra full groupset with compact cranks, Lapierre’s full carbon fork, Mavic Aksium WTS 23c wheelset, Ritchey Curve Comp handlebar and a Selle Italia SL saddle. Evoke envy and provoke pain in fellow riders with the Xelius EFi 200 as you push the pace and effortlessly pull away, leaving them in the dust.
