Xelius EFi 600
Created to deliver the best in no-nonsense performance, the Xelius EFi 600 offers cyclists the highest level of performance with the consistent and precise shifting of Shimano’s Ultegra Di2 electronic group set. Built around the same race proven frame used by Lapierre’s FDJ pro cycling team, the Xelius EFi 600 was built specifically to keep your mind at ease, without worrying about cable stretch on those epically long rides.
The Xelius frame is constructed using Lapierre Efficient Frame Interactive (EFi) technology that was developed to optimize rider input and feel of the bike. The frame is built using single lay-up, monocoque construction that utilizes two different grades of carbon at specific zones to balance power and comfort. The head tube, down tube, and chain-stay represent the “power-zone” of the bike so we built these with single strands of high modulus carbon. The high modulus carbon offers a stiff pedaling platform that maximizes the power transmission from the cranks to the rear wheel creating an extremely efficient bike. Conversely, the Comfort Zone – top tube, seat tube and seat stay – are built with high resistance carbon that act to dampen upward forces on the frame such as potholes to create a smoother and more enjoyable ride. New carbons have been introduced for 2014 in the Xelius EFi frame that has dropped 80 grams, resulting in an overall 890-gram frame.
The Xelius EFi 600 is garnished with Shimano Ultregra Di2 11-speed full group set with a compact crank to make those intimidating climbs seem small, a Mavic Ksyrium Elite WTS 23c wheelset, Ritchey bar, stem and seat post with a Fi’zi:k Antares MG saddle. Take your riding to a new level with Lapierre’s highest level of performance and Shimano’s hassle-free Ultregra Di2 electronic shifting.
